My name is Marcela Lopez
¡Hola! I’m Marcela Lopez, an instructional designer and AI video specialist with a passion for creating learning experiences that are vibrant, inclusive, and learner-centered.
I am an expert in Synthesia, with extensive experience creating AI-generated learning videos, including scripting, avatar-based storytelling, and scalable video production for training and education. I’m also an active member of the Synthesia community, staying closely connected to best practices and emerging innovations in AI video. In recognition of my work, I was selected as a Synthesia AI Video Awards 2025 finalist, highlighting my creative and effective use of AI-driven video for learning:
My professional journey began in the classroom, where I taught Spanish and core subjects in K–12 immersion settings and served as a World Language teacher. These experiences shaped my understanding of how learners engage across languages and learning contexts, and sparked my commitment to designing meaningful, inclusive instruction.
I am finalizing a Master’s degree in Instructional Design at Grand Canyon University. I have hands-on experience developing engaging digital learning solutions using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Camtasia, Vyond, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite. I also work with learning management systems including Canvas and Moodle, and apply ADDIE and Agile models such as SAM to guide my instructional design process.
