OVERVIEW

This project focuses on simplifying complex evaluation concepts into a clear, visual job aid that supports decision-making in onboarding programs. The goal was to create a quick reference tool that training managers can use to measure impact and improve learning outcomes.

THE CHALLENGE
  • Measuring onboarding success can feel overwhelming due to:
  • Too much data and unclear metrics
  • Lack of structured evaluation approach
  • Limited understanding of qualitative vs. quantitative data
  • Difficulty connecting training to business outcomes
IMPACT
  • This job aid supports training managers by: Making evaluation concepts easier to understand; Providing a practical tool for decision-making; Encouraging data-driven training improvements; Promoting ethical use of learner data
THE SOLUTION

I designed a 4-step visual guide that helps training managers:

Use data to guide decisions
Combine quantitative and qualitative insights
Apply ethical data practices
Use evaluation frameworks like Kirkpatrick

The layout was intentionally designed for quick scanning and real-world use.

KEY CONTENT HIGHLIGHTS

The job aid breaks down onboarding evaluation into four clear steps:

1. Use Data to Guide Decisions
Emphasizes using measurable evidence instead of assumptions.

2. Use Quantitative & Qualitative Data
Shows how numbers (test scores, completion rates) and insights (interviews, observations) work together.

3. Follow Ethical Practices
Highlights data privacy, consent, and responsible data use.

4. Use Evaluation Frameworks
Introduces the Kirkpatrick Model:
